"Nor has truth ever injured the human race, but the
misapprehension of it and the fear of it have. Safety is in
investigation, and in more investigation, until error and
misapprehension and fear are excluded."|

The Academy produces four publications
periodically. The online newsletter, called
is freely available to all. Subscriptions to the Journal, the Searchlight
and the Conference Proceedings are included with membership
in the Academy. In addition, hundreds of cases, biographies, and
interviews can be found in the Garland Memorial Library.
The Academy's semi-annual Journal for Spiritual and Consciousness Studies,
publishes scholarly papers and book reviews. A subscription to the Journal comes with membership in the Academy. Here are some examples of the type of articles published over the past few years. (Up until 2015, the Journal
was published quarterly.)
- Two new procedures that connect people with
loved ones in spirit
- Roswell on Mt. Royal: of spirits & aliens
- Table tapping and table lifting
- Three materialization séances with
- Psyche and the sexes, or gender differences and
- Losing faith and gaining perspective: How
trauma and loss can create a more spacious form of spiritual
- The strange case of Becky Carter
The Journal spans three eras. The first, under the title
The Journal of Religion and Psychical Research (JRPR), belonged to a time when this organization was the academic affiliate of Spiritual Frontiers Fellowship, and was known as the Academy of Religion and Psychical Research (ARPR). The second era, under the title
Journal of Spirituality and Paranormal Studies (JSPS), began as a result of the transition of ARPR to the Academy of Spirituality and Paranormal Studies, Inc. (ASPSI), as an independant organization. ASPSI's publications began in January 2006, but, to emphasise the continuity, the sequence of volume numbers was not broken.
The current name was instituted when the Academy's name was changed
in 2012. (In the interest of accuracy, it should be noted that the first issue of JSPS, January 2006, wrongly appeared as an issue of ARPR. In fact it was the first issue of the ASPSI journal.)

JRPR Index - January 1979 through October 2005
This index can be accessed on the site of the Theosophical Society in Australia.
[It continues into 2006 without acknowledgment of the transition to ASPSI's journals, but this overlap may be disregarded in view of ASPSI's own indexing as provided
